Hailing from Japan, and with a hidden identity, no-one knows who Boyfriend Material actually is. Judging by the programming on this record, it may well be he has been around before, under perhaps different guises, or has he just been hiding out in the darkened recesses of Japan electronica?
Further questions lie therein, such as, where did you find the bass on tracks such as Secrets of the Ooze? Are you really the Womaneater XII? What the fuck does 彼氏物質, the title of the EP, mean? We don’t yet know, all we do know, is that this electronica stands alongside anything made before.
Keep an eye on the East, as he has a new vocalised project already in the pipeline, and lets hope he has a shave before that press shoot!
